Hi, I'm Caterina.

Caterina

Welcome — I'm Caterina.

I'm a biologist and nutrition coach, and my relationship with food began long before any university lecture.

I grew up in the hills of Bergamo, at the foot of the Italian Prealps — where morning fog settles softly into the valleys and the woods smell of resin and wet earth. My family taught me to tend the land, to read the seasons, to know exactly when a fruit is ready and how to preserve it through winter until spring returns. They taught me how to recognise wild plants: nettles for risotto, dandelion for the bitter spring salad that wakes up the liver, and borage growing freely at the edge of the field. That was my first, quiet education in food ecology — and it shaped everything that came after.

From there, my path led through a Bachelor's in Biology, a Master's in Biodiversity Research and Conservation, and a second Master's in Human Nutrition. The more I studied, the more I realised that the peasant wisdom of my childhood had been right all along: our bodies are designed to eat with the seasons, to be nourished by what the land offers at the right moment.

Science and tradition, it turned out, were telling the same story.

My work today is guided by a conviction that plant-forward eating is not just an ethical or environmental choice — it is the future of human health. The scientific evidence is now overwhelming: a balanced, plant-rich diet is consistently linked to lower rates of chronic disease, a smaller ecological footprint, and greater long-term sustainability. It builds rather than depletes — health, soil, and community alike.

In practice, I help people move gradually toward a more plant-based, sustainable lifestyle — with flexibility, not rigidity. I also support those who choose to remain omnivores or follow a traditional Mediterranean diet, because I believe every step toward greater awareness is a valuable one. I don't judge. I listen, explain, and share what I know.

And because real health doesn't live on the plate alone, I bring my yoga and breathwork training into my work too — alongside my life as an outdoor sports lover: running, climbing, and freediving. I know what it means to push your body and what it means to genuinely recover. That's why I have a particular soft spot for active people who want to perform well, fuel themselves wisely, and finally make peace with food.

Whatever brought you here — I'm glad you arrived. Let's figure it out together.

Science-backed. Plant-forward. Built around your life.

I don't believe in one rigid diet that works for everyone. What I do believe in is building together a strong foundation for your health — flexible, sustainable, and tailored to your body, lifestyle, and goals. Food is one piece of a much larger picture: sleep, stress, movement, recovery, and how you actually live day to day.
